The Design and Development team is responsible for:

JOB SUMMARY
Senior technical leader who analyzes corporate needs and architects, designs, develops and implements web solutions which facilitate excellent communication and collaboration.  Ensures that core ANTHC SharePoint systems and applications are stable and reliable.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
Leads the overall enterprise-wide implementation of SharePoint.  Provides technical leadership regarding the SharePoint infrastructure and the development of SharePoint applications.  Creates and implements a long range plan for SharePoint.  Assesses infrastructure to ensure adequacy of implemented solutions.
Is well versed in SharePoint administration, security configuration, and high availability design.  Serves as
Support team members in IT in learning SharePoint, including developers, support and operations staff.
Build a network outside of ANTHC and ANMC to understand and incorporate industry best practices in our SharePoint approach. 

The SharePoint Architect will serve as an agent of change, helping the members of our organization to successfully adopt SharePoint across the company.  Partners with members of other departments to understand their needs for collaborative applications through SharePoint.  Using the domain knowledge gained, implements SharePoint applications which foster improved productivity, communication and teamwork. Works effectively in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle, and applies software engineering best practices to the development and implementation of SharePoint solutions. 

Mentors others who develop SharePoint applications. Help them to be capable of independently creating effective SharePoint applications for functional teams. Provides training to SharePoint users across the consortium to ensure ease in using SharePoint.  Builds an interdepartmental network of SharePoint power users, who are capable of sustaining local applications, and who serve as the first layer of support for SharePoint questions.

– Lead SharePoint infrastructure implementation, maintenance and collaboration with SharePoint design and development teams across an enterprise.
– Configure and/or maintain MOSS 2007 on across six (5) server farms spanning the Internal (Intranet) zone, including development and QA environments;
– Maintain all farm administration functions across these farms through Central Administration

– Manage alternate access mappings, critical to the navigation and accessibility of the many separate sites both internal and external. Requires tight synchronization with DNS and IIS as all changes must be registered in the SharePoint database.
– Manage farm features and solutions. All site collections and sites have their own features that are visible and enabled or disabled, but it all starts at the farm level where the SharePoint Admin manages what solutions (custom code packages from developers) are deployed and what features are enabled for use at the site level.
Manage backup/restore and disaster recovery operations using SharePoint internal software-based backup functionality and scheduling.

URS is looking for a SharePoint Developer to join our team at Little Creek Naval Base in Virginia Beach, Virginia!

Responsiblitities:
– Candidate shall provide proper guidance to the Government on how to best implement business requirements through various Microsoft SharePoint portal solutions.
– Candidate shall take an active role in gathering requirements from the user community and, due to their vast experience with MS SharePoint development and implementation, will not require much guidance from the Government to produce portal solutions.
– Candidate shall provide MS SharePoint technical support to customers who need advice, assistance, and training in applying collaborative applications to include, but not limited to, the Non-secure Internet ProtocolRouter Network (NIPRNET) and Secret Internet Router Network (SIPRNET) SharePoint portals, Defense Connect Online (DCO), NetMeeting, and Jabber.

Primary Responsibilities:
– Work with business units across XLHealth to review current or future business process that could benefit from leveraging SharePoint collaboration, workflow, and BI solutions.
