Job Description

Administration & Development: 

  • Provide overall technical, configuration and Tier 2 end user support for Sharepoint production system (Microsoft Office 365) and development/test system (premised based)   in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Provide technical and configuration support for Sharepoint authentication and provisioning of user and/or system accounts.  Troubleshoot issues between Microsoft  Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services and Directory Synchronization (DirSync) tools
  • Develop, configure and maintain document libraries, enterprise lists and site collections
  • Manage permissions and alerts
  • Create, leverage and manage content types, site columns and templates for re-use in sites
  • Generate reports using custom scripts to gather information from usage analysis for sites
  • Assist users in leveraging enterprise features of SharePoint
  • Ensure uniform navigation throughout sites
  • Provide guidance to business units on the structure of their sites
  • Monitor system usage, including content appropriateness, security, and storage capacities
  • Monitor system to ensure workflow and tasks are working correctly
  • Maintain landing page to encourage traffic and user adoption
  • Provide on-boarding communication and initial training to new customers of Sharepoint
  • Provide product/system demonstrations as required
  • Install, configure and manage any third-party products used with SharePoint
  • Provide technical input to assist in development of project plans for projects that intend to use these environments
  • Create and manage procedures for the HelpDesk, and manage/resolve Helpdesk Tier 2 tickets  
  • Provide configuration and support consistent with established governance policies and best practices


Management: 

  • Show excellence in leadership, management and client liaison
  • Participate in monthly Governance Forum consisting of business and IT role-players
  • Develop / manage SharePoint Online best practices and implement with user groups
  • Interface with and help manage related vendor/consultant relationships, where applicable
  • Manage on-boarding process with new customers
  • Gather input and requirements for potential   new features sets and product roll-outs


Communication: 

  • Liaise  with business owners and customers
  • Liaise with IT on future strategy of platform, upgrades, etc.
  • Build, develop and grow business relationships
  • Must have strong IT leadership skills and mentor and empower the support team
  • Communicate with IT management in a professional and articulate manner
  • Communicate daily with the rest of the team on issues, management and future of the platform


Management Reporting: 

  • Develop and deliver progress reports on projects, migrations, upgrades, etc.
  • Oversee user training needs, including keeping training documentation current and organizing delivery of end user training when needed
  • Maintain system documentation and end user support documentation
