Job Description
Tribune currently has an opening for a SharePoint Architect specializing in SharePoint 2010 within the Tribune Technology group. The SharePoint Architect will be responsible for the design and implementation of one or more applications or services within an organization. The SharePoint Architect works with the Enterprise Architect for strategic direction (both conforming to, and helping to define).
The SharePoint Architect will decide the appropriate use of the Microsoft SharePoint technologies. This individual will work with the development staff to ensure proper implementation as the link between the needs of the business and technical delivery. This role “wears” the success (and failure) of such systems and implementation.
To be effective, the SharePoint Architect must have experience on multiple hardware and software environments and be comfortable with complex heterogeneous systems environments. In addition, the SharePoint Architect should have extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010 and related technologies.
The SharePoint Architect is a highly seasoned professional who has lead multiple projects through the software development, implementation, and adoption process, and has usually performed in a variety of different roles in that process. This role will need to share and communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to executive staff, business sponsors, and technical resources in clear concise language that is appropriate for each group.
