We are looking for an experienced Sr. SharePoint Consultant with demonstrated initiative and accountability to fill the Sr. SharePoint Consultant position.
Description
The Senior SharePoint Consultant will analyze the overall business and system’s needs, and plan and implement solutions for migration from SharePoint 2008 to SharePoint 2010. This role will be involved with all aspects of SharePoint deployment including Requirements Analysis, Design, Development, Test, Deployment, and Training.
Responsibilities
- Understand business needs and translate them into system requirements
- Deliver solutions in SharePoint, utilizing the ‘out of the box’ capabilities in SharePoint 2010 / Microsoft Project
- Serve as a mentor and coach for other team members
- Contribute to business development activities such as the development of presentations, estimates, proposals, and proofs of concept in SharePoint
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or firm focused on SharePoint solutions
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying SharePoint solutions primarily on SharePoint 2010
- 5+ years of experience working in a consulting environment
- A proven track record in delivering complex enterprise solutions involving SharePoint 2010 and Microsoft Project
- Experience as a Project Manager and / or Product Owner
Knowledge/Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and organize work schedule to maximize performance with little or no supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and subcontractors
- Experience writing requirements documentation and training documentation for enterprise solutions on SharePoint 2010
- Ability to identify risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and report on project status to executives
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in SharePoint solution development
- Knowledge of third party add-ons to SharePoint
- Proficiency in the SharePoint Object Model
- SharePoint certifications including:
- MCTS: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Application Development Certification
- MCPD: SharePoint Developer 2010 Certification
- MCTS: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Configuration
- MCITP: SharePoint 2010 Administrator Certification
- MCTS: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 – Configuration Certification
- MCTS: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 – Application Development Certification
